I am currently participating in an art class where the teacher is not exactly "open minded" to different styles of art (i.e. mine...). She is very much a paint it as you see it kind of artist (though not solely without imagination). I deign to learn as much as possible from her as from my previous art teachers, but also like the things I gleaned from other teachers, I want to learn the best of what they have to teach without losing my own personal impressions and ideas. Wondered what all of you think/thought about the art/photography classes/workshops/lessons you have participated in or are currently taking.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that for most of us, at some point in our childhood we had such a good time doing something (however mundane) that for the rest of our childhood and maybe the rest of our lives we are trying to recreate a part of that good/fun/exciting feeling we had while doing that certain activity...
